How a QR-code review flow works, step by step

A QR-code review flow sounds simple: scan, review, done. The details of each step decide whether the experience feels helpful or pushy. Here is how ReviewLoop handles each one.
1. The scan
A QR code sits wherever customers already are: a counter, a receipt, a table card. Scanning opens the business's ReviewLoop page in the phone browser, so there is no app to install.
2. The star rating
The customer taps a star rating first. It is one tap, which keeps the barrier low.
3. Optional tags and comment
They can pick tags and add a comment. Both are optional. Blank-page paralysis is the main reason people abandon a review, so this step is built to be skippable.
4. The review draft
From what the customer chose, ReviewLoop offers an AI-assisted or template draft. The customer can edit it freely. It is a starting point, not a script.
5. The handoff to Google
The customer continues to the business's real Google review link and submits the review themselves. Nothing is posted on their behalf.
What happens with lower ratings
If someone gives 1–3 stars, ReviewLoop captures their feedback privately with an empathetic prompt so the business can respond. It does not hide or disable the Google review button. The customer decides where their opinion goes.
Measuring it
The ReviewLoop dashboard shows scan and review analytics and funnel charts, so a business can see how many people scan, how many continue, and where they drop off.
